An instant eye catcher this beautiful vintage shop counter is sure to spark much conversation wherever it's placed. The nostalgic emotions they evoke of simpler and more stylish times, along with gorgeous design, have an everlasting appeal wether placed in the home or in their intended retail environment.
The cabinet originally came from J.P Dias in Botchergate, Carlisle, a shop that amongst other things used to sell guitars, sheet, music and men's clothing. When the shop closed many years ago, all the shop cabinets were bought by McHardy's fishing tackle shop and were all moved a couple of doors down the road where they have been ever since.
Thoroughly treated for woodworm with the old rotten drawer base plywood replaced, re-oiled and the glass cleaned and shined the cabinet is looking beautiful once more. It is in an obvious well used condition with chips and marks to the wood along with some heavy scratching to the glass top, as to be expected.
A nice small size this cabinet is perfect for kitchens or bathrooms, the ideal piece to proudly display your household wears.
Measures approximately 115cm long, 63cm deep and 88.5cm tall. Please make sure you have sufficient help to move the cabinet as it is very heavy.
