Famous for their bold use of colours and interesting and striking glazing techniques, these West German ceramic vases / pots are perfect for adding a retro Mid-Century Modern feel to your home.
Although they started late, Scheurich produced more items from the 1960s through to the 1980s than any of the other art pottery companies. As usual, high production numbers meant a wide range of quality and quality control, but some items, especially their glazes were and still are major achievements.
This particular vase is modest in both design and colours but very typical of it's Mid 20th Century era. Oversized and with a rare splatter glaze in minimalist colours this vase is sure to make a bold statement to any home. In overall good condition, there is a small chip to the rim which looks to be a fault in the glaze, along with some markings as photographed.
