Swedish still life by Karl Enock Olsonn (1889-1958)
Reminiscent of Vanessa Bell's paintings at Charleston this joyous still life swells the heart. Loosely painted with immediacy and verve. A lapis blue-rimmed vase hugs a nodding bunch of candy coloured tulips. A floral teapot with a raffia handle, an empty china cup, a post office red notebook perhaps housing a shopping list or bets on the Grand National.
Newly framed, ready to hang.
