The impressive size and vibrant red background make this Esso / Essolube enamel sign a very striking piece of automobilia that incorporates the now iconic Esso logo. This format is fairly unusual to find, and was produced in Paris in December of 1938. As well as the lovely clear maker's mark and date, there's a production number faintly visible in the lower right corner (see last photo).
Generally the sign remains in very good condition; there's some light fading to the red background and a small crease of damage in the upper left corner that intersects the 'E' of Essolube. The sign sits nice and flat and can be hung using it's original mounting holes.
The sign measures 1.25m high x 1m wide.
