Large and glorious still life by the highly collectable, Swedish artist, Eric Algot Cederberg (1897-1984).
Part post-impressionist, part cubist this vivacious painting depicts a bowl of green apples, wrapping paper and string. Thickly painted swathes of chartreuse and apple green, splashes of peppermint and moss. Counter-balanced by blocks of pale, violet grey.
