This beautiful seaside painting is sure to bring back many a memory of the classic British holiday. A bright and breezy depiction of any coastal resort featuring iconic scenes such as fairground rides, stripy deck chairs and excited holiday goers.
A body colour painting technique has been used here which is where opaque watercolour paint is used in which the pigments are bound with glue, the lighter tones containing white.
Painted in 2005 by what looks like a C.R.Brook, unfortunately, nothing is known about the artist. What we do know however is that they had a highly skilled hand and a style rooted heavily with sentimentality and nostalgia.
A stunning, vibrant and highly detailed piece of art sure to look lovely on any wall.
38cm wide, 42cm tall and 1cm deep.
