Original propaganda uncut matchbox sheet of 90 matchboxes with General or soldier on the front, from the former Soviet Union (USSR) - Latvia. These vintage posters often depicted Stalin or Lenin, and spoke to the common man, woman, and children...or comrade. These unique posters, which date back before the fall of the Iron Curtain, are beautiful works of art which document an interesting slice of our history.

We’ve spent the last few years exploring many of the countries that made up the former USSR. From Georgia to Ukraine, Azerbaijan to Belarus; these countries are full of surprises and hidden wonders!

Please note that these vintage posters are between 30-60 years old, and sometimes have age associated wear. Great care has been taken to professionally repair any small tears/rips with acid-free, neutral pH repair tape. Please see photos for condition, as the photos make up part of the description. The photo of the poster hanging on a wall in a lounge/bedroom is just a mock-up for illustration purposes only, so the size might not be exact. We hope you love your new piece of history!
