1952 oil on board by French artist, Jacques André Duffour (1926-2016). Freshly harvested almonds still in their lime green casings, some cracked open to reveal the bright nuts within. This post-impressionist gem is richly painted, the oil thickly applied creating a wealth of glorious texture.
About the Artist
Duffour kept a studio for many years at 162 Rue de Temple, Paris working as a painter and graphic artist - designing many posters for exhibitions at The Grand Palais des Champs-Élysées, Paris.
