This is a vintage handmade silk haori jacket from Japan, dating between the 1950s and 1960s. The haori is a hip or thigh length kimono-like jacket, worn open over a kosode, and worn in Japan since the Sengoku period. This haori features a cream, green and blue botanical design, with a faint metallic finish over the larger flowers. The body is lined in self fabric and the arms in a white floral jacquard silk. This is in excellent condition and a truly beautiful piece.
