By the listed, German artist, Gertrud Schwabe (1886 - 1980) Born in the German suburb of the Swiss city of Basel (bordering Germany and France) she is best known for her portrait and landscape works, some of which are in public ownership, and was president of the Society of Swiss Painters, Sculptors & Artists, which she founded in 1917.
Signed upper left - G Schwabe Good vintage condition with some minor blemishes and imperfections, not faults as such but characteristics of the use of heavy cardboard as the painted surface. Presented in an early 20th century, oak frame - good condition with signs of light cosmetic wear.
