This lovely, vintage American circus poster features the bold colours and strong imagery that has become synonymous with 20th-century circus/funfair promotion. This particular example probably dates to around the 1950s and was produced for the Royal Hanneford Circus.
With origins dating back to the late 17th century, they're reputed to be the oldest circus in the world, by the 20th century the family were performing separately across the United States.
This particular poster came from a small collection of unpasted posters, as such it remains in excellent condition and has been professionally framed and glazed ready for hanging.
