Born in Denmark in 1914, Børge Mogensen is considered one of the most prolific designers of the 20th Century. Along with a handful of other designers he helped define and popularise the 'Danish Modern' design style, creating furniture that was aesthetically clean and highly functional.
After many an hour of research and with the help of some very clever people online, we have found that this cabinet has gone through some modifications over that past 50 years.
The top cabinet section is indeed by Mogensen, however he originally designed it without legs intended to be apart of a stacking wall system held in place via plinths. The later addition of the Afrormosia legs however have been sympathetically made to seamlessly fit in with Mogensen's beautifully simplistic cabinet top.
With a beech interior and stunning sculpted handles, this cabinet is sure to make a great impact in any home.
In general good condition we've had the top professionally refinished ensuring it looks its very best once more. That being said it is not without fault and still displays some marks and dints here and there all commensurate with age.
Measures approximately 100cm long, 46.5cm deep and 89cm tall.
