One of our favourite artists and becoming increasing rare. This stunning oil by Eva Jacobsson depicts a French washstand in jaunty orange, a white ceramic jug and bowl. The oval mirror reflects palm trees in the south of France. The room is cool with hues of elastoplast and pea soup. Painted with the artists light touch, this Matisse-esque painting is calm and clean.

About the artist:

Eva Holmberg-Jacobsson was a Swedish visual artist born in Malmö. She painted naive scenery and interiors in a lively colour palette, often bathing in a white yellow light.
