A 19th century screen decorated on both sides with many hundreds of cut out period clippings mostly blending tones of gold, bronze and copper. The clippings are mounted on a folding frame (likely mahogany) with brass hinges. The clippings give a wonderful insight into times gone by and include many whimsical images of wildlife, birds, windmills, rural scenes, romantic scenes, domestic scenes, street scenes, social gatherings, agricultural scenes, horses, boating and lakes.
The screen has some damage and wear, there is one hole and a few missing segments, all consistent with the age and authenticity of the piece.
